Job description

ViaEurope means smart Web-Apps & APIs combined with real warehouses, taking care of customs clearance for thousands of parcels each day, bringing products from all over the world to Europe!

ViaEurope is an e-logistics company founded in Amsterdam. Though we've been at the intersection of technology and logistics for five years, we continue to operate and grow with a start-up mindset. Our mission is to support our clients by ensuring that customs clearance, sorting, and product handling are carried out efficiently and reliably, as required by local customs authorities, while meeting the high-speed demands of e-commerce.

Technology is at the very core of ViaEurope’s strategy and is also behind our connected warehouses, or e-HUBs, which are located at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Liège Airport and Brussels in Belgium, Budapest in Hungary, and Frankfurt in Germany. With the right people, we’re poised to expand our team as we scale up our business.

The opportunity

As an e-Commerce Logistics Planner, you will be at the heart of this effort, coordinating the seamless flow of goods through our e-Hubs in Amsterdam, Brussel, Liège, Budapest, and Frankfurt and next year Milan. Our daily mission is to ensure that goods move from their arrival on the airfield to outbound from our e-Hub within 24 hours, maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and precision.

This role requires a dynamic mix of leveraging our predictive data for planning, effectively communicating with all stakeholders, solving problems, and collaborating closely with virtually every department to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations. Leveraging advanced automation and data-driven insights, you'll optimize the entire logistics process, driving operational excellence, ensuring on-time performance, and managing lead times while continuously innovating and refining our logistics strategies.

You will:
● Master the daily orchestration of inbound and outbound planning, ensuring smooth operations based on expected volumes.
● Strategically plan and prioritize all shipments, making sure every team is armed with the right information to execute efficiently.
● Maintain a bird's-eye view of daily operations, quickly identifying and resolving obstacles, while also offering strategic insights for future process improvements.
● Harness data analytics to enhance planning predictability, turning insights into actionable strategies.
● Track and optimize performance by analyzing lead time reports, identifying root causes, and driving continuous improvements for greater efficiency.
● Cultivate strong partnerships with internal and external partners ensuring seamless collaboration and consistently reliable service delivery.
● Quickly resolve client issues to ensure smooth operations, escalating problems when necessary.

Job requirements

You bring strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a fast-paced, international environment. With a positive attitude, you are collegial, precise, and reliable, handling pressure with ease.

Additionaly, you also have:

  • 3+ years of work experience, preferably in the logistics field.
  • Adaptability to new technology and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective time management skills to juggle multiple tasks, processes, and procedures while staying focused on meeting deadlines and achieving organizational goals.

  • Accountability for your work and its impact on overall operations.
  • Strong team spirit that fosters collaboration and mutual support within the team.
