Job description

ViaEurope is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor, to lead the team and the daily operations in our Amsterdam eHub and to ensure optimal inbound and outbound flows and excellent client satisfaction. For this role, we are looking for a supervisor with a strong logistics background, excellent management skills, and a proven record in a similar leadership role of supervising team leaders and the Logistics operation team.


As a Warehouse Supervisor in ViaEuropa, you play a pivotal role in managing the logistics staff, implementing streamlined processes, and resolving any operational challenges to ensure the seamless operation of the eHub and the timely fulfillment of customer orders while maintaining cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.

What a day at your work will look like?

Together with the Warehouse Manager, you plan the manpower and work schedules according to the projected volume to be processed. Team leads and other team members will seek your direction on their daily tasks. You will mentor and lead your team and will be their source of inspiration; together with our Clients’ Support team, you will help solve operational issues to ensure excellent service and superior experience.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the adequate processing of the parcels through the E-hub
  • Supervise the team leads and their teams and help them reach their daily operational targets; develop the team leads, including training and coaching
  • Take care of the daily people planning based on the expected volume
  • Have the optimal overview of the daily operations, solutions, and decisions; detect obstacles (training gaps and performance issues) in work processes and provide advice for future improvements
  • Empowering your team of co-workers by delegating responsibility to help each person to grow and develop, according to their individual ability and experience
  • Completes the warehouse checklist at the end of the shift to measure that all tasks have been completed on time and to a high standard
  • Collaborate closely with the support team to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and clarity on the location of their parcels
  • Take care of our work facilities; understand and safeguard Health, Safety, and Security Regulations and ensure the E-hub is always in good condition
  • Be part of the hiring team

Requirements

You like to be deployable all-round and you are a natural people leader. You have a positive personality, you are collegial, accurate, reliable and you can handle work pressure well. You are able to perform physical labor.

And you also have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor
  • Experience in leading a team of a minimum of 10 people
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
  • Ability to give the correct instructions to employees
  • Ability to be on top of everything, respond and tackle issues on time
  • Flexibility to work in three shifts incl. weekends (08:00-16:30 / 16:00-00:30 / 00:00-08:30)
  • You need to submit a positive Statement of Conduct.

Our work in the eHub: 

Our e-hub is located near Amsterdam (in Rozenburg) it is the heart of our operations, and it is a joined building with our business headquarters. 

It operates 24/7, you will coordinate your work plan with your colleague and you are expected to lead one of the three daily shifts.
