ViaEurope is seeking a Logistics eHub Supervisor, to lead the team and the daily operations in our Amsterdam eHub and to ensure optimal inbound and outbound flows and excellent client satisfaction. In this role, you will act as an entrepreneur, you will have the freedom and the responsibility to ensure the smooth operations of the WH reporting to the Logistics Director.


As an eHub supervisor, you are expected to lead by example and be the inspiration for the team leads and their teams. In this role, you will be the master of planning and prioritizing, managing the daily business goals, manpower, and deadlines while helping the team to reach their daily goals together with a positive team spirit.

You need to have a problem-solving mindset and proactive spirit; you are not afraid of taking decisions and the opportunities to optimize and make the operational processes even better.


What a day at your work will look like?

You will plan daily the manpower and the work schedules according to the projected volume to be processed. The team leads and other team members will seek your direction on daily issues; the Support team will reach out to your team to help them to solve operational issues together; in some cases, you will be their mentor, lead, and source of inspiration while briefing them on operational updates and solutions.


Our e-hub works 6-7 days a week. As a supervisor, you get the freedom to decide your own hours/days of eHub presence with your colleague. Based on your shift plan, it's important you are around during the peak hours.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the team leads and their teams and help them reach their daily operational targets; develop the team leads, including training and coaching
  • Take care of the daily people planning based on the expected volume
  • Have the optimal overview of the daily operations, solutions, and decisions; detect obstacles in work processes and provide advice for future improvements
  • Ensure the adequate processing of the parcels all through the eHub
  • Collaborate closely with the support team to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and clarity on their parcels
  • Take part in our scale-up and optimization projects to prepare the warehouse for further growth. We can already reveal an exciting project ahead of us as we are opening new locations and you'll have the opportunity to be part of that! 
  • Take care of our work facilities; understand and monitor Health and Safety Regulations and ensure the eHub is always in good condition

Your Experience:

  • Able to work both in English and Dutch, will need that for your daily work
  • You are a people person with an eye for operational excellence
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in logistics (experience with air freight and/or truck planning is desirable)
  • Professional education (HBO), or the equivalent in experience, in business administration and/or logistics
  • Excellent organization/project management skills and ability to multi-task and manage multiple people, processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm and adaptable when changes happen
  • A great sense of ownership and accountability
  • Experience in working in a digital context and in a fast-paced international working environment
  • You already have a work visa for the Netherlands (we do not have a permit for visa application)
