The opportunity:
We are looking for a Logistics Team Leader to join our dynamic team at the Amsterdam E-hub. In this role, you’ll collaborate with the Logistics Supervisor and other team leaders to manage and elevate our inbound and outbound e-commerce shipments. Your will assist the supervisor to manage approximately 15 operators per shift, depends on you to lead by example, foster a positive work environment, and uphold our high standards of quality and timeliness.
Your responsibilities:
Daily operations: Coordinate daily logistics tasks among team members, ensuring that all shipments and warehouse processes are handled efficiently.- Participate in logistics tasks: Assist with unloading and loading trucks, booking incoming and outgoing shipments, scanning, sorting, and palletizing parcels using our automated sorting machine.
- Drive operational improvement: Oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring processes are understood by assigned employees, followed, and continuously optimized. Inspire and guide your team to continuously improve, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining a collaborative and efficient workspace.
- Safety and communication: Contribute to a safe, positive workplace and maintain communication with international drivers and team members.
- Administrative tasks: Complete essential logistics admin tasks as required.
Schedule
This is a shift-based role. You will coordinate with other Team Leaders to ensure coverage five days a week within our seven-day operation.
Job requirements
- Experience: Minimum three years in a similar logistics or team leadership role.
- Languages: Ability to communicate in Dutch and English, you will have to use that on a daily basis.
- Certification: Forklift truck/EPT certification is highly desirable. A first Aid course will be provided.
- Personal qualities: Proven organizational skills, resilience under pressure, strong team-player mentality, and a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Flexibility: The ability to work in a digital environment as well as flexibility in work hours is necessary.
